A Cow In Need

Psalm 9:9 says " The Lord will also be a REFUGE for the oppressed, a REFUGE in times of trouble".
If you look up that word REFUGE in the dictionary it will say...
a type of shelter, protection or safety from danger or trouble; a source of aid, relief, or escape. Being a city boy, I enjoy driving around the country soaking in all of the sights that Middle Tennessee has to offer. Just this past week I was out driving to see someone from the church when I noticed a cow standing in a pond up to his head in water. Now for me, that was a strange sight! Cows are usually out in the field eating grass or huddled up along some fence row, but not this cow! He or she was standing in this water trying to escape from the heat. The cow had left its place of normalcy along with the other cows to find a place of relief...a REFUGE. That is exactly what Jesus wants you to do with Him. He desires for you to run to Him during your time of need when you need a place of REFUGE. In the book of Matthew 11:28 Jesus said "Come to me all of you that are weary and heavy burdened and I will give you rest..." So if you are wore out and tired of what this world has done to you, don't just get your feet wet and get a little relief but jump all in, head deep into the REFUGE that Jesus has for you!

See You @ The River...John
